Sohar University organized the annual Graduate Day event, which came under the title ‘Youth and the Future of Entrepreneurship’ on 22nd February 2022 at the Youth Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020.

The event was attended by Madian Obaidoon, Director of Export Development Department at the Oman's Commercial Office in Dubai, Dr Hamdan Al Fazari, Vice Chancellor of Sohar University, and Dr Mohammad Al Maqbali, PVC for Admission, Registration & Student Affairs.

A number of graduates from different classes and specializations participated in the event.

In his speech at the beginning of the event, Dr Hamdan Al Fazari said: “I am pleased to welcome you all on this day and in this place where the world meets Expo Dubai 2020. Young people have a great role to play in building their societies and in developing the quality of human life.

With this in mind, Sohar University is organizing an event (Youth and Entrepreneurship) today.”

Dr Lamia Al Hajj, Associate Professor at Sultan Qaboos University and a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, presented a paper entitled (Our Arab Youth Between Today's Ambition and Future Skills).

Then Mr. Essa Al Zaabi, Director of the Dubai Startup Program – Dubai Chamber, presented a paper entitled (The Role of Innovation Technology in Entrepreneurship).
