As part of the Student Exchange Program for Short Courses and Visits (ICM) – on April 24, 2025, an introductory workshop was organized to present the "Erasmus+" program and discuss cooperation opportunities with the European Union Alumni Association (OCEN), with the participation of a number of academics, administrators, students, and representatives of the alumni association.

The workshop aimed to introduce the Erasmus+ student exchange program, its objectives, and beneficiaries, in addition to explaining the application process and how individuals and institutions can benefit from the program.

The workshop included the presentation of two working papers. The first paper, presented by Mr. Ahmed Al-Qatiti – Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation – focused on Erasmus+ opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman. The second paper, delivered by Ms. Laila Abdullah, Head of the Organization for Cooperation, Exchange, and Networking: the International Exchange Programs Student and Alumni Network (OCEAN), provided detailed information on the student exchange program, including opportunities, impact, and alumni engagement.
